Last year in August 2021, our church community was shocked and saddened to discover that our Lead Pastor, Andy Perrett, was diagnosed with a brain tumour.

After a year of treatments, prayer, and much love amongst our community, on August 28, 2022 Andy passed away in the presence of friends and family.

Andy's memorial service will be held at Granville Chapel on Saturday September 17, 2022 at 1:00pm.

Below, you will find the Pastoral Letter that was sent out after Andy’s passing.

A Letter from pastor paul

Dear friends,

It is with a heaviness of heart that I share the news of Andy’s passing on August 28th shortly after 6:30pm. Andy was finally escorted into the presence of The Lord to “Taps", a well known tune for those associated with InterVarsity's Pioneer Pacific Camp.

As the final words were sung, Andy drew his final breath and passed into the loving arms of His Saviour.

Andy has fought the good fight, finished the race and kept the faith. His suffering is over, and he receives a crown of righteousness (2 Tm 4.7-8). For this we give thanks; But we also feel the pain of a family’s grief in the loss of a husband, a Dad, a Grandpa, a son, a brother, an uncle… Andy was a good friend to many and our pastor. I pray you would each know the Lord’s comfort as he draws near to you in your grief (Psalm 34.18).

Please continue to pray for Marlene and the family as they grieve; pray also for one another.

All is well, safely rest, God is nigh.
